About NottsMUN

This year, for the first time, our team will visit Robin Hood and Little John in their homeland and will attend one of the UK's most popular and well-known conferences, the NottsMUN. After three successful years, we are very looking forward to join the fourth international conference hosted in Nottingham and form part of a challenging and triumphant experience. The NottsMUN will take place from the 11th to the 13th of November and the committees' topics will be themed under the recent incidents also called the 'Arab Spring' and under the continent of Africa and its growing global impact. The NottsMUN is an excellent opportunity for both our accustomed delegates and rookies to improve their MUN skills and get the MUN spirit. We invite everyone to visit with us the beautiful city of Nottingham and make the conference an unforgettable experience.

Delegate fee: £ 40
(This includes £ 15 for the registration fee and £ 25 for the social pack fee providing the delegate with the participation at the social events on Friday and Saturday night.)

Committees and Topics

SOCHUM	The empowerment of women and children through education and the need to enlighten such groups as to their universal rights. Silence, AIDS and Sexual Culture in Africa.
DISEC	Issues with the export of arms by developed nations to fuel the fighting in countries with changing regimes. Fundamentalism and outreach strategies in East Africa.
FSC (Future SC)	The unrest caused by heavy Chinese investment in certain mineral-rich parts of Africa. The stalemate caused by North Sudan's takeover of the Abyei region and South Sudan's subsequent refusal to share its oil revenue.
UNDP	Millennium Development Goals – progress and limitations. Challenge of developing infrastructure in Africa.
G20 (Major Economies)	The change in the nature of aid being given to various parts of Africa. The G20 and Trade and Development in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Applying is very easy. The only thing you need to do is to send in the following data as a single PDF document to our Headdelegate Stephanie:

Write in a short letter your motivation to join the delegation
List all the conferences you have attended so far
In addition, list 3 committees you would prefer to be assigned to in a ranking from 1 to 3. A country will be assigned to the entire delegation through the organizers of the NottsMUN.

Payment:

Make sure you have paid our membership fee
Make sure you pay the delegate fee (a total of £ 40) for the NottsMUN as soon as possible. The deadline for the payment is also the 16th of October!
